Located behind the statue of Alexandre Dumas on the Place du Général-Catroux in Paris (17th arrondissement), a figure sits proudly with his hand on his hip, holding his sword out of its scabbard. It is d’Artagnan, wearing a felt hat, and his costume is depicted with great precision. This magnificent bronze sculpture by Gustave Doré was unveiled in 1883.
