The town of Condom has been graced with a monumental sculpture depicting the Three Musketeers and d’Artagnan in the likeness of the actors from the famous 1978 Soviet film ‘D’Artagnan et les Trois Mousquetaires’. This work by the Russian-Georgian artist Zurab Tsereteli was previously exhibited at the Grand Palais in Paris as part of the Russian National Exhibition (from 11 to 15 June 2010, in the presence of the then Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin), before being installed in St Peter’s Square in 2010. Created by the Georgian sculptor, Dumas’s statue of the Musketeers stands out for its imposing dimensions, measuring 2.50 metres in height and weighing 5.5 tonnes.
