The silent film The Three Musketeers (1921), an ambitious adaptation directed by Henri Diamant-Berger.
Rich in adventure and intrigue, this major production was divided into 12 episodes of 60 minutes each.
After falling into oblivion, a version of the film was rediscovered in 1995 and restored. The soundtrack has been entirely recomposed by Gréco Casadesus, performed by an 80-strong orchestra, while the original intertitles have been replaced by subtitles for the dialogue and a commentary narrated by Patrick Préjean, modernising the experience of this silent film in 14 episodes of 27 minutes.
