The Genuine D'Artagnan

This biography of Charles de Batz Castelmore, the real d’Artagnan, is based on extensive research and includes many previously unpublished documents. It was honoured by the Académie française. The career of this modest gentleman, who went on to become a great lord, culminated in his glorious death at the siege of Maastricht in June 1673.
