The Return of the Musketeers

Anglo-French-Spanish production with an impressive cast. Third part of the trilogy directed by Richard Lester with The Three Musketeers (1973) and On l’appelait Milady (1974).

In Paris in 1649, the Fronde is rumbling against Cardinal Mazarin, prime minister of the regent Anne of Austria. Mazarin asks D’Artagnan to rally the three musketeers Athos, Porthos and Aramis to his cause. Porthos, now a widower, is delighted to be back on the adventure trail.
