A 3 parts, Soviet television film, that became extremely popular in the Soviet Union in the late 1970s and early 1980s, still considered a classic.

Three films followed: The Musketeers, Twenty Years After (1992), The Secret of Queen Anne or The Musketeers, Thirty Years After (1993) and The Return of the Musketeers, or The Treasures of Cardinal Mazarin (2009).
